The front desk guy was friendly, and for $98 a night with no deposit, I did get a few hours of sleep. But the smoking room smelled like years of smoke, there were about four small roaches running around, and the bed was old and wavy instead of flat. The TV didn’t work either. They need to get rid of the roaches, and I’d give more stars. Thanks.

I’m here until Sunday, and so far there’s a small leak in the tub. I’ve let them know and will give them a chance to fix it. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful location right across from Santa Anita racetrack. If you want to play the horses and get in early, I’d suggest staying here. The price is very reasonable, and the customer service is good.

I’d stay again if I had to. It was peaceful, and I liked the location: away from the crowds but close enough to walk to places. Cleanliness needs work, though. Within ten minutes of entering the room, I had to kill five, yes, five, cockroaches. The mattresses have no cushion at all and could leave your neck and back sore.

Our house needed major work that made it hard to stay there, so we needed somewhere for three nights over Labor Day weekend, Saturday to Tuesday. It was quiet, and the room was clean and spacious, especially the bathroom. There was a fridge and microwave, and the Wi-Fi and AC worked fine. The iron and large ironing board were handy, but there was no hair dryer, which was fine because I always bring mine. This is budget accommodation, so the price felt like a great deal, especially since our dog could stay free and on-site parking was free. They provide soap and towels, but no shampoo or conditioner. I prefer my own anyway, though I’d recommend bringing yours. I didn’t use the outdoor pool, but it looked like a good size for a hot day. I was a little worried by the mixed reviews, but the stay worked well for us.
