Ardsley Acres Hotel Westchester

Getting around is easier if you drive or use Uber, though there is a bus. The location is decent, and the rooms look modern and are really clean, including the showers. The TVs are nice too. I’d definitely stay here again.

I had praised the hotel and its beds in my last review, but this visit left me dreading check-in. Felix at the desk is consistently rude, loud, obnoxious, and has a nasty attitude. He’s a terrible representative for the hotel and gives the facility a trashy impression. If I see him working next time, I may just rent a room somewhere else. I was traveling for work and had requested a quieter room in the second building when I booked, seven hours before arriving. I reminded him about wanting somewhere quiet to sleep, but he put me right next to the office, where I could hear cars coming and going and all the parking lot noise. It felt like he did it on purpose. I can’t believe every room in the back was taken on a Tuesday night, so I drove over and saw rooms available, with their curtains open. I went back to the office and swapped my key. He gave me a room in the quieter area, but why did we have to go through all that in the first place?

For real, it was neat and clean. The mattresses were encased, and the sheets were fresh and clean. I’d definitely recommend it, and they’ll get my money again.

The rooms are comfortable, and the woman working in the morning was very nice. The breakfast was sad, the kind of thing you’d expect at a one-star hotel, and being next to the interstate meant I heard trucks all night. I’d called around 4 pm and a woman gave me a price. When I checked in four hours later, the man working that night quoted me about $30 more. He didn’t seem interested in looking into the difference or explaining it. It was late and I was tired, so I stayed.
