Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Arkadelphia

Breakfast was better than at most hotels, with the usual waffles, oatmeal, muffins, pastries, eggs, sausage, and coffee, plus a great crustless quiche and breakfast sandwiches. Veronica, I believe, kept the area clean and stocked, and was wonderful. The night and morning staff were outstanding, friendly, and gave amazing service. Our very clean room had comfortable beds and good AC, and the soap in the shower smelled lovely. It’s a newer hotel in a great, safe spot. It’s near the highway but not right at the exit or entrance, which I liked, and there’s plenty of parking. I’d definitely recommend it and stay again.

We found this hotel on Bonvoy while looking for somewhere about halfway between Nashville and Dallas. It turned out to be a delightful surprise. The front desk team was excellent and the rooms were just what you’d hope for. There are plenty of places we could stay between those cities, but this will definitely be one of our preferred stops.

The breakfast had a good selection, and I really enjoyed it. The front desk staff were warm and friendly too. I stayed here on the way to Hot Springs National Park and found the location reassuringly safe. The room was comfortable, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The toilet made noise now and then, but closing the bathroom door made it unnoticeable. Thanks for a pleasant short stop on my trip.

We had a very clean, nice accessible room with a zero-clearance shower, microwave, small fridge, iron and ironing board in the closet, and a desk. The spotless hallways have no carpet. Breakfast was good, the area was clean, and food stayed stocked. Two great employees, a woman and a man, checked on guests and cleaned tables. The outdoor pool area was great, with two gas fire pits lit that morning, and there’s plenty of free parking in a clean lot. It was good to see Arkadelphia Police drive through checking it. Still, this was the loudest hotel we’ve ever stayed in, and the noise came from inside. Doors slammed all night. I checked with another guest, who’d noticed the same thing. Maybe adjusting the closer on our door would stop it. We booked while on the road, but if we’d walked in first, we wouldn’t have stayed. Six people were drinking in the breakfast area and acting like it was a bar. They were obnoxious, and their two children and two dogs were allowed to run wild near the front desk. In the morning, the dogs were still in the breakfast area, with one held at table height. This was not up to normal Fairfield standards.
