The staff were great, but I checked out on the first morning of what was meant to be a three night trip. Noise from nearby rooms and the hotel’s declining condition made the stay too disappointing. My room, 224, was falling apart, the breakfast was far below what I’ve had at other Quality Inn locations, and the lot had trash caught in the surrounding foliage. The exterior doors weren’t secured, and there was no pool or hot tub, though that might have been temporary. There was also an advertised poolside bar that didn’t exist, and the continental breakfast had less than half of what I’d expect at a Quality Inn.

There were bedbugs in the beds, so sleeping in the room wasn’t really an option. The rooms were outdated, which wouldn’t have bothered me if I were only using one to sleep, and I think you get what you pay for at this price.

I won’t come back. The location is in a small town without much to do, and the room cost $20 more than the Home Away Suites I stayed at in another town. The stay started with the front desk receptionist, who was a nice, helpful guy, and our rooms were very clean. The atrium was a cool scene, breakfast was actually great with self serve waffles and bagels, and we liked that games and the pool table were available until 9 pm. But the pool was shut down, and the hotel felt old and outdated, even though my husband called it retro. As a leasing agent, I noticed damage that needed fixing soon. Checkout is at 11, but our keys stopped working at 10:30, and the housekeeper began cleaning one of our rooms before 10, before we’d checked out. I didn’t have enough time to pick up everything that needed to come off the floor. When I was loading the car from our second room, the housekeeper rolled her eyes and sighed to show she was annoyed by the room’s condition, which wasn’t even that bad. I told her we hadn’t checked out yet and reported her to the front desk. I left the second room as it was. They said they’d speak to her, but didn’t apologize or seem to treat it as important.

The room was okay for a cheap, no frills night, but it was a weird first experience. The hall lights were dim and the hallway felt a little spooky. Once we found our room, it was clean, though it smelled so off that we had to get room spray. The bed was nice, but I’d rate it 6/10. The bathroom was not bad, 7.5/10, and the Wi-Fi was 5/10. The window just looked onto a parking lot, 2/10, the TV size was 4/10, the mini college tall size fridge was 6/10, and the room lighting was 5/10. The pool looked like it had been shut down for months. At check-in there wasn’t much communication, the front desk didn’t ask what room we wanted, how many beds, or what our options were, and we didn’t get to see the room beforehand. The front desk person didn’t speak English well. I think it was about $65 and there was a $50 deposit for one night. They had laundry, ice, and room services for the rooms needs, etc. The room was 222. It’s cheap if you need a quick stay and don’t want anything fancy.

Our room was clean, but the bed and pillows were kind of hard, and the place was very old and outdated. The worst part was the noise: from midnight until around 4 am, doors kept banging, people yelled and stomped upstairs, and loud music played nonstop. I told the front desk guy the next day and got a blank stare. It seems like it might be an extended stay place for people without housing. We won’t be back.
