Cheryl and the staff were bubbly, helpful, and a joy to talk to. The Arlington Inn has apparently been for sale for over a year, and I hope the next owners value its good bones and great people. Just know the Tavern is only open Fridays and Saturdays. My wife booked what she thought was a room with a fireplace and queen bed. Cheryl called to offer us an upgrade to a king room, Pamela's Suite, which we accepted. That turned out to save the weekend, since the original booking actually had no fireplace, while Pamela's Suite had a nice gas-fired one. The room was spacious, clean, charming, and had a comfortable bed. I almost wanted to buy a piece of furniture from it. The shower pressure could have been better, but was fine, and there was plenty of hot water. We visit the VT Manchester/Arlington/Bennington area a few times a year, and this was one of the nicer places we’ve stayed. We didn’t have breakfast since we love "Up For Breakfast" in Manchester, but the dining room looked nice, and breakfast was probably an okay option included with the hotel. People unhappy with the food may have visited under the previous owners, one of whom was also the chef. Give the Arlington Inn a try.

We stayed with our family while skiing in Stratton. The room worked perfectly for four, and the bathroom had been newly renovated. Breakfast came as a buffet with several choices, and the staff were attentive and helpful. It’s a beautiful historic hotel and a nice way to support local small businesses.

We got caught in the snow on the way to Stowe with our 7-month-old, and the Arlington Inn gave us its last room at a moment’s notice when I called. The staff welcomed us, asked what the baby needed, and got the room ready right away. We rode out the storm and had a lovely evening in the tavern with Dave the bartender and some other families. Breakfast was delicious the next morning before we continued on to Stowe. I’m so glad we found the Arlington Inn!

The elopement package covered everything we needed, and Cheryl was so kind and accommodating. My husband and I had our wedding here in early September, with a private, intimate ceremony in the garden, which was in full bloom and made a beautiful backdrop. The suite was lovely, and the hospitality was unmatched. The town felt like stepping back in time, while Walmart and a dollar store were still nearby. 11/10, would recommend getting married here!

Our wedding at the Arlington Inn was the perfect experience. The inn’s charm, history, and comfort made a beautiful setting for the celebration, and our guests kept complimenting the food, atmosphere, and warm hospitality. Cheryl, the innkeeper, took care of every detail and supported us throughout the weekend. Her kindness, organization, and dedication made the day so special. We’re grateful we celebrated here, and highly recommend the Arlington Inn for a one-of-a-kind Vermont experience.
