Check-in went really well, even though we arrived at 2130 after a 12 hour drive, and the hotel was within walking distance of AT&T Stadium, which is why we booked it. But cockroaches in the room cut our stay short. We left after just one of the four days we’d reserved and spent over $900 to stay at a Hilton 10 miles from the stadium.

We just needed somewhere to sleep for the night, so we took a chance despite the worrying reviews. The front desk woman was really nice. The pool looked lovely, though it was oddly closed by the city of Arlington. Our room was clean, including the shower, microwave, and mini-fridge, but there weren’t many outlets and no lamp. The beds were very hard, and there was a strange smell when we first walked in, though we got used to it pretty quickly. Decent enough if all you need is a night’s sleep.

We left room 106 without spending the night because the conditions were disgusting, and we still haven’t received the refund we requested. The new person at the front desk could only say they’d tell the supervisors. We were also given an excuse that the cockroach had come up through the toilet because its seat was left up. Completely unacceptable. It began with the unbearable cigarette smell in our first room, so we asked to move. The second room smelled a little better, but then we found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. Someone came to remove it after we called. When we returned from the match, there was another one. We called three times before going down to complain in person. A staff member said maintenance had been called, but after waiting another five minutes we had to complain again before he removed it himself. We then checked the room more carefully and found a third cockroach, as well as stains on the sheets. We were furious and disgusted, so we left to find somewhere else to stay. The service, upkeep, and cleanliness were beyond unacceptable. DO NOT STAY HERE, no matter how close it is to the stadium.

Within an hour of checking in, we’d had enough and asked for our money back. My family wouldn’t stay in that filth, but the front desk said no refund. I lost my money, though I hope this keeps someone else from booking here. Worst experience I’ve had. I came with two adults and three kids and was given a room with two queen beds. When I asked for a rollaway or some other option, the desk clerk was rude and acted like it was my fault, saying I’d been told there were two queen beds and only four people were allowed per room. They said my kids, ages 12-17, didn’t look like kids. We tried to make the best of it because the kids wanted to swim, but it wasn’t clear how five of us would sleep in those beds. Other guests had doors open and were cursing and yelling, and people who weren’t guests were walking through the hotel. The front desk made that clear. Then we got to the pool and found so much algae on the bottom that it was slimy and slick. I wouldn’t book here.
