DoubleTree by Hilton Washington DC - Crystal City

The room was quiet and comfortable, and the location was great with good service. The rooms are typical for Double Tree, clean and comfortable, though this one had some issues. There were failed bulbs in some lights, which room service staff hadn't been reporting. The desk had no accessible power outlets. I found one usable socket behind the desk, but couldn't reach it, and there was an extension lead attached to the back of the TV stand that was unreachable too. That left me unable to work at the desk and power my electronics at the same time.

The Skydome on the 15th floor was amazing. My son booked Christmas Eve dinner there, and seeing all the DC monuments made it the best experience I've ever had. The service was beyond explanation, and when we wanted vegetarian food, they specially made some for us. I'd give the Skydome more than 5 stars. We stayed for 4 days for Christmas vacation 2025. The market place staff inside the hotel, where breakfast is also served, were great, friendly, and helpful. There's a gift shop inside too. Our Manager Mr. Chandler was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting DC. Thank you.

Breakfast downstairs was delicious, with a wonderful variety and great service. I loved the coffee and felt like a VIP. I also had a beautiful dinner at the Skydome Restaurant, where I ordered the best filet mignon. The food, views, atmosphere, and service were all great, and the warm cookie at check-in was a lovely touch. I stayed with a tour group from 3-23-26 to 3-28-26, on my first visit to DC, and really enjoyed myself. My clean room had fresh towels regularly, a very comfortable bed, and an amazing view of DC. I could see the Pentagon, Washington Monument, the Capitol Building and Jefferson Memorial. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The location is the main plus here, since it makes getting around convenient and practical. The room and the general stay were fine, comfortable enough for a short visit, but nothing memorable. I wish the restaurant and bar stayed open longer, until midnight, so it would be easy to get something after a long day without heading back out. It's an okay, solid option, though guest amenities could use some improvement.
