Four Points by Sheraton Dallas Arlington Entertainment District

The location is great and the hotel itself seemed okay, but I’m concerned about pests. I booked a king suite for Jan 27-28 and didn’t see any bugs in my room. Still, around 9:30 pm I came downstairs for a snack and saw a huge cockroach crossing the first floor. It went under a storage closet door. There were gaps under the room doors, so it could easily have gotten into a first-floor guest room. After seeing that, I put a towel at my own door to keep anything from coming in. I hope they deal with this promptly. It’s a bad look for a hotel aiming for excellence.

UPDATE: We did not add my husband to the reservation. I had to file a complaint with Marriott, and their agent added him. My husband did not say his stay was issue-free. After I contacted Marriott and they corrected the hotel on the policy, he was placed on the first floor as retaliation. The hotel is still deflecting instead of taking responsibility for its poor service. Other reviews mentioning pests, bed bugs, cleanliness problems, and guest service complaints, including complaints about Courtney, whom I found to be the rudest manager in hospitality, paint an accurate picture. My reservation had an issue, but the staff wouldn’t help or offer any solution. I had to call Marriott myself, and their agent had to contact the manager, who I believe was Courtney. She lied to the agent and gave a completely different story. Guest service and management were both awful, with no hospitality at all. They treated me like I was bothering them. Booking here was a big mistake. This property doesn’t deserve the Marriott name. Book elsewhere.

The front desk was glad to bring me extra towels, sheets, and other room service items. Alexia was especially helpful in several ways. When there was noise from the room next door, Courtney was kind, understanding, and wonderful about helping us settle things so my friends and I could have a quiet night in. Amazing service.

I had to find another hotel at 2:30 am after discovering roaches in my room. I also paid to have my clothes laundered so I wouldn’t take their pests home. The front desk, office manager, and general manager only cancelled my reservation. When I asked management for compensation, they said there was nothing they could do because I’d stayed one night without issues. They refused a refund for that night and didn’t want to compensate me for the problems the hotel caused. The rooms are filthy, the staff don’t care, and upper management is useless. I strongly suggest staying somewhere else.
