Hampton Inn & Suites Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach Area, CA

Kayden made us feel at home, and the whole crew and management were just as amazing. They put you first if anything comes up, and the customer service really stood out. Breakfast was killer, too. Highly recommend staying here, and I can’t wait to come back.

Lia at the front desk was especially friendly. She even took a family photo for us during our stay in Pismo. The staff were courteous, breakfast had lots of choices and was kept up well, and our room was clean. We also liked the temperature-controlled spa and the round-the-clock hot coffee. It felt like good value. We could hear a lot of freeway noise at night since the hotel is close to it. Running the AC or heater fan helped reduce it some. The hotel sits partway up a hill, so the first floor is two levels below the ground floor.

For an affordable hotel, I was impressed by the hot breakfast at 6 am, especially the sausage, potatoes, eggs, and make-your-own waffles. Coffee was still available in the evening, and the lobby was clean. Our room was comfortable and well kept. We stayed here as a stop during our vacation.

The employees were extremely nice and helpful, which was about the only good thing about this stay. In room 348 on the first floor, the shower holders seemed to be broken, leaving the shampoo and conditioner on the floor. The water was barely warm, traffic noise went on all night even though the window was shut, and the bed was so hard I hardly slept. We skipped breakfast and wouldn’t come back or recommend it.
