We only spent one night here on the way to Taos Ski Valley, but it felt more like staying with a friend thanks to Matteo and his dog. The rooms were nicely set up, with plenty of space, cool art, and nice rugs. Check-in and check-out were easy, and there was room outside for the kids to run around. Being away from the main road also made it really quiet at night, and the views were lovely. The muddy access road was a little confusing, though, and made it hard to tell if we were going the right way. We might stay here instead of up on the mountain next time.

The sunset from the Presidential suite, looking across the valley, was humbling and breathtaking. My friend and I found Cielo while road-tripping through Taos, and it turned out to be a welcome change of pace. Yvonne greeted us, showed us around, and got us settled. It was cold outdoors but very comfortable inside, and we made use of the hot tub, pool, showers, and fireplace. Such a beautiful space, with great amenities, kind hosts, and incredible views. I’d happily recommend Cielo Taos for a Taos getaway.

We were greeted with a bottle of wine in our suite, which was huge and beautifully furnished. Yvonne was a wonderful host and always ready to help make our stay better. The place is peaceful and private, about five minutes off the highway north of Taos and east of Arroyo Hondo. We caught fantastic sunsets over the Rio Grande valley and a sky full of stars at night. A great spot for either a romantic escape or a group trip in the Taos area.

The Guest House had loads of room and was well stocked, and Yvonne and Mateo made sure we had what we needed. Our family especially enjoyed the indoor pool and making s'mores, with those incredible starry views. We loved staying at Cielo Taos.

Yvonne was so helpful, and her cute dog Atlas was a sweet bonus. The room felt classy and comfortable, and everything from the beautiful grounds and spectacular views to the clean, well-kept pool and hot tub was lovely. They’d thought of little details too, like the thick, comfy pool towels. We’ll be back, 10/10.
