It’s a really cute spot, and everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen had very few utensils, though, so we donated a couple of things to help us make some simple meals. Bring shampoo, just in case. For the price, I’d have liked a few more amenities.

We keep coming back to Modern Homestead in Reedsville WV because of our family roots. It’s cozy, the beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of amenities. We’re always sorry to leave, but we’ll be back.

I haven’t stayed in the rentals myself, but my relatives from out of state keep returning to Modern Homestead, and I’m always happy with my visits. When I ask about plants, gardening, or ‘green thumbing’, I’m met with care and real knowledge. The quality products and services have helped me succeed. The cafe is another favorite, with wonderful drinks and treats. Our extended community really needed their commitment to local things, including Rustic Church concerts and weekend dinners.

The food is exquisite, and the whole place feels so cozy, from the seating and rooms to the music. I’ve been to these dinners a few times with my husband and always come back for special occasions. For Mother’s Day, we went with my family two years in a row. Even my very picky daughter devoured her meal. She’s a brooding teenager, so I love seeing her get excited about choosing flowers for our garden. Everything here is beautiful, and our area is lucky to have a place like this.
