Ash Fork Inn

We travel with dogs, and the chairs outside the door were a nice spot to sit with them. The room was quiet and clean, and we slept really comfortably. The towels were even softer than the ones at the Hilton. Joey at the front desk was friendly, efficient, and gave us helpful dinner recommendations. We knew it was an older property, and the exterior needs work, but there's a lot inside to like. It's not the Ritz, just a great find for the price. We also chatted with some workers staying there, who were very nice and engaging. The 9 One Stop has great fuel prices and just about everything you might need for one-stop shopping.

The showerhead in our room was really low, and I'm 5'5”, so that gives you some context. We only found one working outlet for charging our phones, which was inconvenient. The bedding was just a top sheet and a thin comforter, and a thicker blanket would have helped. Still, the room was comfortable and looked freshly cleaned, with signs of updates. Check-in and communication were efficient and very helpful, and the front desk area felt welcoming. It was right off the interstate, which was handy. We got what we needed for the price.

Susan deserves a shout-out. She suggested a great restaurant and even lent us her car to get there, she really did. The office had free snacks and drinks, and the staff were so great. My room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and freshly painted. The outdoor area has a lot of potential, but it's neglected and not inviting. Stay here, explore the area, and get to know some locals. You won't regret it.

The room's decor was beautiful and welcoming, and it was clean. We ended up with one of the nicest parts of our trip after getting caught in a storm on the way to the Grand Canyon and being unable to continue. My boyfriend and I pulled in and were welcomed by the loveliest woman at the desk. Susan, you're awesome! I rarely write reviews, but this place felt special enough to make me do it.
