Aloft Dulles Airport North

Josep made a difficult arrival much easier. He pointed us toward food and explained how to get to the airport, then helped again the next morning by walking us through how the United meal card worked. We didn't have cash to tip him, but we really appreciated his professionalism, kindness, and extra effort. We were there because our United flight was cancelled on Sunday, and the trip to the hotel had been quite a journey. By the time we got there, the kitchen was closed and no food was available. The rooms are always spotless thanks to the maids, whose names I don't know, and the whole staff seems to work hard to make guests' stays good. I also appreciate that the hotel is pet friendly and close to Dulles. Listya is newer to the crew, but she gives her all serving people at the bar and in the kitchen, and I have no complaints about her service. Melissa and Kaylee are warm people, and checking in with either is hassle free. Jose gives great service whether he's at the front or helping at the bar, and you can tell he cares about the people he serves. Shiv and Daniel are great bartenders. The drinks meet my expectations, and they take time to talk with customers about both their drinks and their visits. I can't complain about a thing here. Enjoy your stay!

Noise from other guests carried on well past midnight, and when I tried to reach the staff, nobody answered. The on-site team seemed unavailable and unresponsive throughout my stay. The state of the room was even more troubling: the toilet bowl was visibly covered with human liquids and clearly hadn't been cleaned. There were also liquids and several stained areas on the floor, while obvious marks on multiple walls showed up immediately under a black light. This went far beyond a small housekeeping miss. After my flight was cancelled, I stayed here because it's about a ten-minute taxi ride from IAD. The transport choices were impractical for my situation. My Uber cost roughly $35, and the hourly shuttle didn't work for a late or unexpected arrival. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had in years. I'd strongly advise avoiding the property until cleanliness and service see significant, verifiable improvement.

Daniel made me feel at ease on the ride, almost like I was with a friend. I felt safe and welcome, enjoyed my stay, and appreciated the kind staff, hospitality, and good service. The food and drinks were delicious, too, and the hotel is really close to Dulles airport. Thank you!
