We spent one night here over Labor Day weekend on the way to Myrtle Beach, and I regret not checking the reviews first. From outside the property looked nice, but things went downhill after we checked in. The room’s TV didn’t work at first, though staff came and fixed it. There was only one towel, and then we found both big and small cockroaches throughout the room. It was clearly an infestation. When we tried to settle in, the bed broke as soon as we got on it. The property was badly maintained and very dirty. I’d give it zero stars if I could and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I was stuck there after paying $400 a week, since they don’t give refunds, and I wish I’d had a better choice. I stayed for a month between November and December while the place was under construction, so it felt overpriced. It was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Very inconvenient, and I’d warn people to stay away. There was no refrigerator, microwave, or vending machine. We had no internet for a week and no telephone service. There were roaches and other insects, holes in the walls, and the bed had only a flat sheet, not even a fitted one.

We were staying as a family because work at our home meant we couldn’t be there, and the whole stay was horrible. I can’t think of anything positive. The toilet barely flushed, and the rooms badly need upgrading: the ceiling was separating from the crown molding. The Wi-Fi barely worked, with so much buffering that my children couldn’t watch videos on their phones. The owner or manager’s service was awful. Every day he came to the door several hours before checkout asking for more money. He also deactivated the room key at 7am each morning, so we couldn’t get into the room even though checkout was at 11.

The sink in the bathroom leaked, and they’d put a trash can underneath. When I reported it, all they told me was to empty the can when it filled up. There was no microwave or refrigerator, no blankets on the beds, and the windows let people see inside from outside. I asked for a downstairs room and was told it would cost another $10. For $75 a night, this place had no appliances and only sheets on the beds. Someone needs to take a closer look at it.

I paid for a week but stayed just last night. The carpet was dirty, the shower had rust all over, the walls were nasty, and none of the lights in my room worked. The office staff were very rude, and it took nine hours just to get a towel. There was no microwave, the fridge leaked, the drawers were broken, the sink didn’t work, some outlets didn’t work, and there was no latch on the door. It was a nasty place, with nothing but druggies and prostitutes. Housekeeping came and spoke with us, saying there was blood on the walls in other rooms. I’m finding somewhere else and will never stay here again.
