After staying here twice for a total of 10 days, I'm happy to have found a place that feels comfortable for a longer stay while I work in the area over the next couple of years. The staff are friendly, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet. Having a balcony was a plus. Parking can be tough, especially with all the speed breakers, but the rest of the place makes up for it. I'll be spending a lot of time here.

We had a great girls' trip stay. The beds were good, the place was very clean, breakfast was nice, and the showers were hot. I forgot my swimsuit, which was a shame because the pool looked nice. Parking was a bit wild with so many speed bumps, but there's also a small garage, so there were plenty of spaces. What more could you ask for?

We were told our room was upgraded, which apparently meant a top-floor room looking over the interstate, with no balcony. It's not really downtown and there aren't any real views. The hot tub wasn't working, the pool was very cloudy, and the plastic dividers between the indoor and outdoor sections looked like they'd collected every STD in the water. The elevators made each ride feel like we might plummet to our doom. There's a deck out back, but it closes early because of the homeless. We skipped breakfast. The rest of the place was fine.

After a 13-hour drive to see the trolls at the Arboretum before the ice storm, we arrived very late. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was more than satisfactory.

I'm a frequent business traveler, and this Holiday Inn Express has the weakest hotel breakfast I've ever seen. It's served from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m.; late checkout is 11:30. Hotels with similar rates serve breakfast from 6 to 10 and offer checkout at noon. Do yourself a favor and stay at Homewood Suites, a few soll6more but worth it, or Glo hotel up the road, which is a much better value. ✌🏻
