Hotel Indigo Asheville Downtown by IHG

We ended up leaving early because of the ice storm, which I hated, though we had a great time otherwise. One night we ate at the bar and the food really disappointed me. I also ordered a Bahama Momma; the bartender tried several times but couldn't get it right. The rest of the team was professional and helpful. Our ninth-floor corner room was clean and wonderful, with beautiful views. We could hear the highway, but that's understandable. The shower was easily five-star, and whenever we called, the valet brought our truck to the front with the heat running. I appreciated that 😉.

When I arrived, J.R. welcomed me at the desk, explained the parking and valet setup, upgraded my room, and answered all my questions. I ended up in a lovely penthouse suite overlooking Asheville as snow fell. The hotel and room were immaculately clean. I'd had to change plans at the last minute, and Valerie quickly sorted it out over the phone. Later, Erika greeted me at the bar and grill as warmly as if I were a regular. The drinks were fantastic, and my sandwich was good. Erika handled the bar crowd and food orders really well. I travel for work about 120 nights a year, and this was my best stay with IHG, probably Marriott too. I'll stay here whenever I'm in Asheville again.

The people here made the stay especially nice. Service was great, and everyone was friendly. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with a beautiful interior and an amazing bed. We loved being able to walk downtown from the hotel. We enjoyed everything about our visit.

When my husband felt unwell, the staff helped me find somewhere quiet to work, checked on us, and took care of things like valet and our everyday needs with real kindness. Valerie, JR, Todd, Dully, and Harry all made us feel like people, not just travelers passing through. They were thoughtful, warm, and ready to help throughout. We've stayed at plenty of hotels this year, but this kind of service at Hotel Indigo Asheville stood out. We left feeling cared for and grateful. The team has something special, and we'd recommend staying here.
