A lovely place to stay, easy to find, and close enough to walk to two popular restaurants, though you may want to book ahead. The hosts were thoughtful and made sure we had what we needed. Rooms are spacious with an en-suite bathroom, TV, and room for your belongings. There’s no lift, but the stairs up are easy to manage. Breakfast at 9am in the dining room was very good. Coffee and soft drinks are always available, and the internet was simple to connect to, even on my Kindle.

Karen and Steve made this stay. They were hospitable, attentive, and so accommodating. I’ve stayed in plenty of bed and breakfasts, and this was the best. They run the place like a home, which made leaving hard. Their tips on things to see, do, and eat were excellent. If we’re back in Asheville, this is where we’ll stay. We visited at Christmas, and the old house was decorated and so cozy. The linens were clean, beds comfortable, rooms warm, and the water hot. Breakfast was delicious and filling each day, with things like hash brown waffles, eggs, and bacon, or fresh muffins, egg cups, and yogurt parfaits. They also brought coffee right to our room each morning, and left afternoon treats at our door when we returned from exploring Asheville.

My daughter and I booked a last-minute stay, and everything was easy. Karen gave us a warm welcome, and she and Steve made us feel special. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful, with nice bedding and a mattress we slept well on. We also appreciated the bathrobes after showers. There were books to read, and my daughter found one about Biltmore since we were there to see the decorations. Snacks and drinks were available, and we got to try some of Steve’s awesome beer. Coffee appeared outside our door in the morning, which was a blessing. Breakfast was a treat, with eggs, bacon, and delicious pancakes. We’ll definitely stay again!

Karen spent time with every guest, making sure we were comfortable and sharing plenty of information and recommendations about town and the surrounding area. Each afternoon or evening, a homemade baked treat was waiting in our room, and every morning there was delicious hot coffee outside our door. Breakfast changed daily and was always good. We could help ourselves to drinks, water, and glasses in the downstairs pantry. It was lovely to meet Karen and Steve and stay in their charming old home. We were sad to leave and hope to come back. My daughter and I spent five nights at this B&B in December 2025. The historic neighborhood was beautiful, with downtown an easy walk or quick drive away.

Carrie greeted us and told us lots about the house and area. The porch is a lovely spot to relax with some of the host’s home brew, and our room was comfortable. We only stayed one night, but the location and service were wonderful. There was a fantastic meal just down the street, and Carrie even made breakfast sandwiches for us when we had to leave early and miss breakfast. She made us feel right at home. Thank you!
