Whispering Pines Motel

The motel’s location is a strong point, right across from what I think is the best supermarket I’ve ever shopped at, Ingles. What sets this Ingles apart from all the others I’ve visited is not just the fuel station and separate convenience store. Most of the other Ingles markets I know don’t have an extra Advantage card for customers to use, but this one’s employees are willing to let you use an in-store Ingles Advantage card. There are other nice things about Ingles too, which I can get into another time. I first stayed here in the middle of last summer, and the motel had one of the best pillows I’ve ever slept on: an exceptionally plush, full-length body pillow. The man who arranged my room booking warned me repeatedly that the TV was out of order. I didn’t mind; I just needed a room, and he was willing to provide one since I could pay. Unfortunately, I couldn’t bathe, only shower, and that was true on both stays, including my most recent one from the 19th through the 25th of last month. A lot has changed about the rooms. The full-length pillows may be gone now, but the cleaning service, convenient location, and simplicity still make Whispering Pines a viable motel option.
