We stopped here without a reservation while traveling back from looking at houses. The hotel is right off the highway, and although it was busy, it was quiet. Our room was clean, updated, and comfortable. The staff welcomed us warmly, and breakfast the next morning was wonderful. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

A quiet, clean, comfortable basic hotel, with very attentive staff. Breakfast was only okay, though, and I would have preferred healthier egg choices. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Horrible hotel. Be aware that this property is individually owned and only pays a fee to use the Choice and Radisson names. When we contacted Choice’s corporate Guest Relations after our stay, they said they couldn’t help because it wasn’t actually their hotel. Don’t count on courtesy or customer service if you have a problem. Our main issue was how we were treated over our service animal. The front desk employee, Bill, asked multiple questions about our disability that we believe federal law does not allow. We had disability papers, service animal paperwork, a handicapped license plate, and a handicapped tag, yet his questions made the person with disabilities extremely uncomfortable. He was curt, borderline rude, and honestly scary. We recorded everything he said. Our animal was quiet, clean, and made no mess or noise. After we left, we found an extra $100 cleaning fee on the bill. We believe it was an illegal charge and discrimination over the service animal, especially since we left the room cleaner than we found it. The room itself was filthy. We had to pull clumps of hair from the bathtub drain, which nearly made us throw up. The drain was broken, and the stopper sat loose in the tub. It took half an hour to try to fit it, and it still wouldn’t hold water. The bathroom sink had no stopper, so anything dropped in it would be gone. Two weeks ago, we contacted the manager, Miss Patel, and were told we’d get a call back. We still haven’t heard from her or anyone at the hotel. Stay somewhere else.

The hotel was very clean and well kept, in a safe area. Shelia and Bill at the desk were personable and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. I’ll stay again when I’m back in the area.

Check-in went smoothly and the room was clean, but I’ll never stay here again. We arrived at 9 pm on Saturday, 10/11/2025, after a day at Kings Dominion. At about 9:30, while I was showering, the entire hotel lost power. Places around it still had electricity. Power came back after ten minutes, and we were too exhausted from traveling out of state to leave. Then sometime after 1 am, the power went out again and woke my husband from a deep sleep. He needs a CPAP machine to breathe while sleeping, so this was frightening. We looked outside and again saw that everything around the hotel still had power. It took a full hour for the hotel’s power to return. By then we were wide awake and decided his safety mattered more than trying to sleep and hoping it wouldn’t happen again. We went to the desk, explained what happened, and were told the employee couldn’t do anything except check us out. He apologized and said other guests had also checked out because of the outage, and that he’d leave a note for the owners. We checked out and drove home on almost no sleep. We’d managed only about three hours of sleep total, after settling in and showering. Later, someone from the hotel called and said they wouldn’t do anything because it was the power company’s fault. We pointed out that nearby places had power, but they said they didn’t, which is a bold lie. For nearly $200 a night, I expected to get a full night’s sleep safely. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone whose medical needs make a sudden power outage dangerous.
