Motel 6 Ashland, VA

The help from the front desk, both during the day and in the evening, made settling in while I looked for an apartment in town much easier. The cleaning, laundry, and maintenance staff were helpful too. Thanks to everyone at Motel 6 in Ashland for such a warm welcome and genuinely great service. I'd definitely recommend it, not just for the location.

We found bugs of several kinds in the room, some huge, and the shower wouldn't work at all. The towels had disgusting yellow stains, the sheets were covered in dirty dog paw prints, and there was nasty trash on the headboard. We didn't even have a trash can. This was the worst hotel stay we've ever had, even though we stay at Motel 6 often. I'll never return to another Motel 6 after this.

Days Inn next door gave away our reserved room again, even though we'd called ahead. That's the third time this has happened when we arrived. We travel around the US transporting customers' boats and had always stayed there, but after this we can't count on them. Thank you, Hotel 6, for finding us a room last night. We'll be stopping by regularly from now on.

I couldn't wait for daylight so I could get out of there. The bugs came out from everywhere as soon as the lights were off. The tub hadn't been cleaned, the floors were sticky with something, and the sheets and pillows smelled like body odor and had stains. I don't know if they were even washed. The washcloths looked like they might have been left haphazardly by the previous guest. Worst overnight experience of my life.
