The elevator still wasn’t working. On day one I tried to wipe down the refrigerator and a roach darted out before I could get a picture. When I opened it again before we left on day two, the roach was back. I also checked the shower mat before using it and found mold inside.

The room was disgusting and smelled awful. There was pubic hair and urine across the bathroom floor, along the walls, and around the toilet. It was obvious the cleaning had been done very poorly before a fresh towel was put down. I told the front desk, and they said they could clean it in the morning, after I’d already checked out. I also tried the vending machine upstairs after being told I could get a drink there, but every beverage was sold out. They showed no interest in making sure I was a happy customer.

I’d stayed here many times before and had good experiences, but after this one I won’t be back. We travel with our dog, who’s usually very good in hotels. She might occasionally have an accident, but we clean it up right away if she does. So I was shocked when I came to check in this evening and was told our reservation had been cancelled. They said that after our last checkout, staff found dog poop all over the room. That’s a straight-up lie. I tried to explain that it wasn’t us or our room, but the man just shrugged like he didn’t care. We’d planned to return for more than a week, but that’s not happening now. If we’d left the mess they claimed, why didn’t they charge the card on file for that kind of issue? This was a nasty, dishonest way to do business. Please don’t stay here, they don’t deserve your business.

I was exhausted from driving, and our first room, 101, had cockroaches on the beds. We moved upstairs. The downstairs was nasty, but the second floor wasn’t bad and there were no roaches in the beds. Our bags weren’t brought in, though. The desk guy wasn’t there and had to be called three times. The keys stopped working, and we kept having to ask him to set the card key again. The gentleman handling breakfast in the morning was kind and on top of things. The upstairs cleaning lady was nice and kind too.
