The dog had room to run in a nice field behind the motel, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating about my big dog being crated. I also got a couple of cups of fantastic coffee and a waffle for the road. The place was lovely, clean, and fantastic, with a super comfortable bed, plenty of clean pillows and towels, and a clean shower. This is now my first choice in Ashland.

There’s lots within walking distance, including shops and restaurants, with several grocery stores and a bus stop just minutes away. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient. Rooms are a good size, very clean, and have private bathrooms, a fridge, and a microwave. The beds are really comfortable and come with plenty of pillows. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

We’ve been returning to this hotel for years because the price is reasonable, the rooms are clean, and there’s good access to the Bear Creek trail. The owners clearly take pride in the place, with some new improvement every time we visit. During our last stay I left some clothes behind and didn’t realize for several days. The owners still had them and shipped them right away for a reasonable cost. I highly recommend the hotel and continue to be impressed by the management.

The room was warm when I arrived, so I set the AC to Cool. I use it for white noise, but Fan On is a separate setting. When the unit shut off during the night, I couldn’t find the setting I needed and woke up two hours before my alarm to motel and traffic noise. The room also had a slight marijuana smell, which worried me because there’s a service fee for smoking in a non-smoking room and I didn’t want to be charged for what a previous guest had done. The door only had a deadbolt, no chain or extra security latch. My rate was a little different from what I booked in the app, and the night clerk just shrugged it off. If those things seem like nitpicks to you, you’ll probably be satisfied here.
