Super 8 Ashland

I booked this hotel because I needed a place in the area, and as a lifetime diamond Hilton honors member I wasn’t expecting much. I was completely wrong. The rooms were clean and very nice, and the staff were super friendly. If I’m back in the area, this is where I’ll stay.

The continental breakfast is always on point, and while the pool tends to run a bit chilly, the hot tub does the trick. Some rooms aren’t the greatest, though there are worse places in Ashland, TBH. The staff are normally pretty awesome.

The pool and hot tub were clean and worked fine, though they could use some paint. The whole hotel, including our room, was very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, really going above and beyond. We had a great experience.

We booked at the last minute during busy season and the rate seemed higher than I’d have expected, but they upgraded our room and kept the price we’d booked. Everyone on staff we dealt with was kind and helpful. The room looked recently updated, with new-looking beds and furniture, and it was clean with a fridge and microwave. We only stayed one night. It was fairly quiet, and breakfast on our way out was decent.
