Comfort Inn & Suites Wilkes Barre - Arena

We found plenty of comfortable spots to get some work done, and it was quiet after ten. The shower had hot water and great pressure, and the pool was warm. Everything was clean and smelled nice, and breakfast was perfect. The staff were so kind, especially Kim. There’s easy access to attractions, and the place is right off the highway. It was way beyond what we expected!

My sister said she plans to stay here again when she visits. She liked her room and bed, and especially loved breakfast. She also said the woman in charge of breakfast was awesome. Her grandson had a great time in the clean, new, warm pool, and there were plenty of towels. After a terrible trip from about three hours away, she was tired and cranky, but she was pleased with the front desk staff. They were nice and quick to help. I’m 57, live nearby, and had never stayed at a Comfort Inn before, though I’ve traveled a fair bit.

For a quick overnight stop while traveling, this was a really good choice. The place was clean, roomy, and had the essentials we needed. The csw who checked us in, rnorma, was friendly and efficient, and clearly knew what she was doing.

We got through one night here during a storm, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent too. Still, this won’t be a regular stop for future trips. There was mold in the bathtub, and inconsiderate neighbors made noise, including a dog barking until around midnight. It’s a dog friendly hotel, but signs say dogs can’t pee or poop in most of the areas around it. Picking up after a dog makes sense, but banning pee seemed odd. There’s a road beside the hotel that doesn’t seem to be in use where you can walk your dog, though there’s a lot of trash and scraps there.
