I loved the historical feel of The Residence Hotel and its eclectic décor, which gave the place plenty of character. My room was perfectly clean, and being right in downtown Aspen meant shops and restaurants were immediately accessible. I went the whole trip without needing a car. Texting the owners, Simon and Susan, made communication effortless; they were incredibly kind and helpful. I’ll definitely be back.

Walking to the slopes, shops, and restaurants made my stay perfect. In Aspen, an authentic and affordable hotel experience like this is hard to find, and Simon and Susan's exceptional hospitality helped everything run smoothly. The Residence Hotel has historical character, great value, and an excellent location. It doesn’t have a grand lobby or room service, but it’s a real treasure.

The family ownership gives The Residence Hotel a distinctly personal feel. The owners were friendly and quick to respond, and everything I needed was just outside my door. My master suite was roomy, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. It’s a great way to enjoy downtown Aspen at an affordable price.

We only stayed one night, which was a shame. The Penthouse Suite was ridiculously well decorated, the bed was very comfy, and there were AC boxes in several rooms. The zebra chairs even looked like they were made from real zebra hair. The location is amazing. My boyfriend said it felt like we were living in a Wes Anderson movie.

The French Studio had such a charming, romantic design, and its little kitchen worked perfectly for making breakfast. I slept great in the amazingly comfortable bed. You don’t get this kind of warmth and character at a big hotel for such an affordable price. I can’t recommend it enough.
