The check-in was awful from the moment I arrived. I’d booked a non-smoking room through sonesta months ahead, but late at night, tired and pregnant, I was offered a smoking room and staff acted as if the reservation didn’t matter. I’d already paid more than $500, yet they also tried to charge me extra. Another guest beside me was facing a charge of $2,000 a night, which seemed wildly out of proportion for this hotel. It felt like more than a one-off mistake. When I raised it, the staff were rude and dismissive, with no useful solution or empathy. I felt scammed at the counter. This was supposed to be a Sonesta property, but it didn’t feel like a reputable hotel experience at all. I wouldn’t book here again.

After Expedia refunded me, I was still put out of the hotel at 2am with nowhere to go. A homeless man outside my room wouldn’t leave me alone, and I spent about 30 minutes in the cold before finding another hotel. I’d arrived late and found bedbugs in my bed. The manager moved me, but said the cleaners hadn’t mentioned this before. In the second room I found a cockroach, plus a huge stain on the sheets that had soaked through to a mattress with a hole in it. I was livid and contacted Expedia about it. Never again, and I won’t book with Expedia again.

At $225 a day, this feels overpriced for a two-star hotel. There was a bug in the bed at night, and it bit my kid’s hand. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

There was hair all over the place, and I felt itchy through the night. Once I got home to Ohio, I showered straight away and washed all my clothes. The hotel was unbelievably dirty, and for the price I can’t recommend it. I’ve never posted a review before, but this place made me feel I had to.

We got a refund and left fast. We’d booked online and checked in, but the room looked so bad we didn’t even stay five minutes. The sheets seemed to have been remade without the room being cleaned after the previous guests, there was a carpeted hole in the floor bigger than a shoe, and the bathroom hadn’t been serviced. No chance we were staying.
