The course and landscaping looked beautiful, and the carts made it easy to get around. The golf rangers were helpful, and the beverage cart was easy to find. At the large organized tournament, lunch was fresh and nicely portioned. We had a tasty buffet dinner afterward, with friendly servers and a bartender who got drinks out quickly. I'd recommend ACC for events of any size.

The French onion soup was excellent, but the rest of lunch was a mess. There were eight of us, and four got a good meal while the other four had haddock that was badly overcooked, cold, hard, and crunchy. The fries were cold and soggy too. We didn't complain because we thought getting replacements would mean another hour's wait. We'd already waited over 20 minutes just for water and an hour for lunch, while our server kept making excuses. Either the kitchen needs more staff or better cooks. I won't be back, and I'll tell others to avoid it.

The wine room downstairs was cozy and festive for my dad's 60th birthday, and the food was delightful. Shauna was our waitress, and she was attentive, kind, and made us feel right at home. The staff kept everything running smoothly and went above and beyond. It was a special night for my dad, and we're grateful for the memories. I'd highly recommend the venue for private events and celebrations.

The venue is beautiful and the staff are kind, but our wedding day coordination fell far short of what we'd been led to expect. We had spent over an hour with the coordinator going through the décor placement, yet there was confusion during setup. When my family asked about it, the coordinator said, “we never went over anything,” which wasn't true. Six family members and bridesmaids ended up arranging decorations so everything would be ready on time. We also missed drinks for the bridal party during cocktail hour, and the bridal salon breakfast came with rude servers and cold food. We'd had a detailed planning meeting and thought the process was organized. We were assured we'd have the reception room at 3:30 PM, but another wedding was booked there until 4:30 PM and ran late. We couldn't get in until 5:15 PM, only 45 minutes before guests arrived, even though the contract said we'd have two hours. We were also told staff would help find indoor photo spots if it rained. On the day, the backup spaces were booked for other events, so our photographers had to find usable areas themselves. The only suggestion was to wait for our ceremony room, which was occupied too. Later, we were told we “should’ve booked a backup location in the contract,” something nobody had explained to us beforehand. Afterward, when we raised these problems with the Director of Sales / Manager, they said our expectations were “really high” and our décor plan was “more than a coordinator typically accommodates.” No one had told us to scale back or bring extra help. It felt like securing the booking had mattered more than delivering the service we expected. When we suggested reimbursement or gift cards as possible ways to make up for it, our ideas were dismissed without acknowledgment. The Director instead asked us to send photos and hoped we'd book another event. We're grateful to be married and know things don't always go perfectly, but for what we spent, we expected more care and follow-through. If you're considering Atkinson Resort and Country Club, ask specific questions well ahead of time about room access, weather backup plans, and what the coordinator will handle.
