Please be careful here. The night security guard has been harassing me and following me around the property all night. He wrote down my tag number, and I’m worried it was for some reason other than giving it to the hotel. I have to wait until morning to report him to staff. Praying I make it.

The price is cheap, but this feels more like a motel with people renting by the week. I arrived around 5:15 and the lobby was shut, with no instructions on how to get a key. Some of the people staying there can feel intimidating if you’re not used to it, like the rougher parts of a big city. The rooms were somewhat clean but dated. I wouldn’t recommend it for families or women staying alone.

The one good part was the young woman who checked us in, she was really nice. Otherwise, my boyfriend and I were disgusted. We’re from New York and were only looking for somewhere nearby while his truck was being repaired at a freight liner dealership. We picked this place online because it looked nice and cost less than some others, but it was dirty and unsanitary. The room smelled of old food, including pizza left in the oven, and weed. The other guests seemed very different, and the place felt unacceptable, though I guess I’m not surprised given the area. We had no time to research beforehand, but now we know for next time. The manager refused a refund after we explained what happened and showed pictures. Luckily Expedia gave us credits to use at another place. The pictures I took show the problem, and those weren’t even half of them.

There were cockroaches and silverfish, even in the sink, and the place was dirty. Police and ambulances came often, and there was screaming, banging, and fighting late at night. Despite the no-pets rule, pitbulls were living in the building, with stray cats all around. The office closes at night, and the “security guard” was often away from the booth or unhelpful. If your key card stops working, tracking him down is the only way to get into your room. At checkout they put a false charge on my card for a microwave that wasn’t provided. Then they said they couldn’t refund the card and I’d have to come back for a check. Hotels in the area are all disgusting, but I’d avoid this one in particular.

Most of the rooms seem to be for long-term residents, with a few “nicer” ones offered by the night. It is what it is. The area is rough, but the fence and gate do make it feel a little safer.
