Cheshire Motor Inn

The Wi-Fi is awful, when it works at all. The place is old, so there’s only so much they can do with it, but I do like the king rooms in back. They keep security in the parking lot, which is reassuring. Prices are usually set, and they’re one of the last places that don’t require a deposit, hallelujah. Service is civil, just the bare minimum, neither rude nor cheerful. These days I’ll take that. Could be worse.

It was such a fun place to visit during the day. Sad to see it gone.

This is a basic, very low-cost place to stay. It might suit you if you can put up with a smoky smell, unwashed towels, drafts coming in under the door, and having to keep an eye on your car because of possible break-ins.

The restaurants nearby are a real plus, which makes it a shame that I’d never stay here again. My partner’s name was on the room for two guests, and I had a room key, but the front desk still refused to give me towels until I went to get my partner. I’ve never had a desk clerk do that before. The faucet is falling apart, and the room smells like somebody burned a cigarette factory in it. This is nowhere near a three-star hotel, more like 1.5 stars.
