The worst part was how the staff responded when I listed the problems at checkout. The clerk just shrugged, said they'd make a note, and offered no discount, apology points, or manager. I was made to feel unreasonable. This place is an embarrassment to the Holiday Inn name, and I can't believe it carries the brand. If you value your money, comfort, or dignity, stay somewhere else. A roadside motel would treat you better. There wasn't any continental breakfast, not even a muffin or yogurt, and the desk said they no longer offer it. In the room there was one paper cup and one regular coffee packet for two people. The towel rack had one thin, scratchy bath towel, with no hand towel or washcloth. Housekeeping said they were short on supplies and couldn't bring another until the next day, so my wife had to use a hand towel from her suitcase. The gym was another letdown: half the machines were broken, the treadmill display was dead, the elliptical ground horribly, and the only working machine was a rusty bike that squeaked. The gym water dispenser was empty too. I've stayed at many Holiday Inn properties over the years, but this location shattered my trust. From check-in on, it felt like one insult after another, more like a rundown motel than a hotel. At these prices, the lack of even basic breakfast and supplies was ridiculous.

The staff were really friendly, and the breakfast area was nicely set up, though a sanitizer pump nearby would've been useful. The room was average, but the bathroom door wouldn't close and there was hair in the tub and on the sink. The listing mentioned an ice machine on the second floor, but there wasn't one. Instead, there were ice cream bars in the freezer compartment, suggesting nobody had cleaned or checked it before we arrived. I'd probably stay again only as a last resort.

The lake was a lovely bonus, and the pools were warm most of the time. The hotel shuttle runs 24 hours, which was another plus. Publix, Walgreens, a liquor store, and a movie theater were all within walking distance. The staff were wonderful and helpful with ideas for things to do and places to eat. I don't think we could have picked a better hotel.

We held our Family Reunion here in 2024 and were really pleased with the location and service. When we needed to move Saturday Fun Day from a park into the hotel banquet room, the Owner and General Manager were kind and helped accommodate us. The rooms were nice and clean too. I'd use this location again.

Sheryl was awesome. I left my Apple Airpods in the room, and she called before I even realized they were missing. She shipped them to me in Texas at no extra charge. The hotel also sent a courtesy shuttle to pick me up at the Atlanta airport before my stay and took me back the next day. My room and the rest of the hotel were clean, and the staff were courteous. Great hotel!
