Motel 6 Atlanta, GA - Midtown

Ms. Jessica made my day with such pleasant service. She recommended places in the area, patiently talked through what I needed for my accommodation, and made the whole process easy. I'm looking forward to my Atlanta visit and stay. Jessica sets a great standard for hospitality, and based on her service, I'm confident I chose the right place to book.

The rooms were so clean that I walked around barefoot and my feet stayed clean all night. If you travel a lot, you know how rare that is. Even the thermostat unit filters must have been clean, since there was no damp-air feeling or smell. The beds are firm and comfortable, and there's an all-access laundry room. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are soda machines, free coffee in the office, coffee singles in the rooms, plus a microwave and refrigerator. There was some road work while I was there, but staff had ear plugs available and took care of what I needed. The location is great, with pretty much everything you could want within 1.5 miles, walking distance.

The hotel itself is very nice, with spacious and comfortable rooms. But I had an extremely disappointing interaction with Rihana from Jamaica. She was unprofessional and disrespectful from the moment I arrived. She told me that because I wasn't American, I had to show her respect in a particular way. When I put my passport on the counter, she insisted I hand it directly to her and threatened to cancel my reservation if I didn't. She said this was part of her culture and that I needed to learn it because I wasn't American. I found the exchange inappropriate and discriminatory. My low rating reflects that negative experience and the biased treatment I received.

The room and amenities were good, and my stay was nice overall. Checkout was the one unpleasant part. Loud knocking woke me up to make sure I was checking out, which felt disruptive and unnecessary. A little more courtesy at checkout would have made the stay much better.
