SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead

The location is the one real plus. Service was good, but it's the sort of service I'd expect at any hotel in this category. I stayed for a business trip, and after learning what my company paid, I can't recommend it. The rooms felt old, with an odd layout, tiny windows, and poor lighting. The closet was at the opposite corner from the entrance. There were popcorn walls and carpet trim on the walls, and the windows let in so much outside noise that I couldn't sleep. I couldn't tell whether it was the city or noisy neighbors. Breakfast had a couple of hot items but was lackluster. The gym was tiny but adequate, while the pool looked as though it had been neglected for years. Parking is $30 per night.

The breakfast crew deserves a shout-out. They were cheerful, welcoming, and kind, with great morning energy. Our late-night arrival at SpringHill Suites on 02/16/2026 got off to a bad start. One front desk associate helped us after we parked, but her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. There were about four unpleasant interactions in a row before I finally told her how upsetting it was. There was no warmth, hospitality, or basic courtesy. If it hadn't been so late, I would honestly have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. The gentleman at the desk was polite, professional, and helpful throughout our stay, and gave the kind of hospitality guests expect. I hope management works on consistency, since one bad interaction can affect the whole visit.

The rooms are a little worn, but the location is perfect. Charisma at the front desk and the rest of the staff were great. Travel tends to leave me frazzled, and her humor helped me relax. She was also very helpful with local tips.

Breakfast was included, which I hadn't expected, and I especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice. There's also a mini store for water, food, chips, and other things, which is handy. The hotel is about a nine-minute walk from the Marta station. I picked this hotel for the indoor pool, and it exceeded my expectations. The pool and gym are good for a workout or some quiet time. It seems suited to business guests who mainly need a room to sleep and have breakfast, or anyone who just needs a place to stay. The check-in could be clearer. When I arrived, the front desk was empty, so I sat in the lobby waiting. There was no sign, and after about 20 minutes another guest told me staff sit in a small room near the front when there are no guests. They should put up a notice so new arrivals know where to find someone.
