The front desk staff were polite, but the manager told me, politely, that he didn’t care. He was willing to move me, though even the neighbors could be heard spraying Raid with their door open. In my opinion, the listing should say plainly that there are roaches if management doesn’t care. Refunds aren’t allowed, no matter how disgusting the room is. The $90 night for two twin beds was cheap, but the room was tiny, with sheet stains, just one thin top sheet, and a dingy little bathroom. Worse, there were small roaches. I came back after being out for a few hours and spotted one on the sink almost right away. When I picked up my shoe, one fell out onto the bed. The lighting was so poor it was hard to find them and kill them. Other guests were loud and tweaking, and there was trash all around the building. They also sell overpriced snacks from a case that looked suspicious.

I drive trucks and don’t have a home of my own, but staying here felt like being at home. It was quiet, the room was comfortable, and the service was great. I could get some rest before heading back out to work. I’ve read the other reviews, but it’s the company people keep. I’ll definitely stay again.

We were staying here because we’re victims of Hurricane Helene, and the price was convenient. I’m grateful we had a roof over our heads, but the room made me not want to return unless it’s a dire emergency. There was no phone, microwave, or working TV. My son hooked up his PlayStation so we could watch something, and we had to call the office to get a microwave so we could eat. Thank goodness the whole family has cell phones, especially since my oldest needs her phone fixed. The beds were rock hard, and the furniture looked like it came from a swap meet. With my bone disease, it wasn’t comfortable or friendly. The microwave they brought up looked like it was from 1979. I’m not trying to complain, but if the hotel wants guests to appreciate the property and come back, it needs better quality things in the rooms.

The hotel is older, but the people are great and really try to offer affordable rooms. The staff are very nice, and being right off the expressway is convenient. A good place to turn to when you’re in a bind.
