Eldorado Atlantic City Beach Block

The scratching kept waking us all night. I finally got my flashlight and looked between the stand and wall, where I’d heard it. There were chew marks and mouse droppings everywhere. By 4am we’d had enough and drove the five hours home with hardly any sleep. The location was horrible because of the police sirens, though that part isn’t the hotel’s fault. No bed bugs, at least, so there’s that. I tried to tell the front desk as we left, but nobody was there. We even left a cup on the desk and came back 20 minutes later for it. The keys I’d left were still there too.

On New Year’s Day they cleared away all the breakfast at 10 while people were standing there with plates. I’m not complaining about them keeping to the posted hours, but refusing a cup of water while we were still eating felt really inconsiderate. The woman had a cup in her hand and still wouldn’t give us one, in front of about 10 other guests, even though we asked after 10am. The waffle batter was watery, so we couldn’t eat the waffle even though it had been made before 10. Breakfast and the service were horrible. It wasn’t considerate, human-to-human service.

I was in the room for less than five minutes before the stink made it hard to breathe, so I had to run out. When I told the front desk I couldn’t stay and wanted to cancel, she called an Indian guy on her phone, who told me I couldn’t get a refund. They robbed me of my money. I wasn’t given an email or receipt. Hope Choice Hotels reads this. Bad experience!

Slept really well here. The room was super clean and smelled wonderful, and they have continental breakfast in the morning. 🌅👍🏾
