I've stayed in Atlantic for work four times, and Rock Island Inn & Suites is the one I prefer. It's close to downtown, but far enough away to stay quiet and still convenient to reach. The rooms are very clean, and the beds are really comfortable, which is what I care about most when booking. The employees are hospitable and make an effort to look after you. There's no fully equipped gym like at some other hotels, but that doesn't bother me. They'll give you a free pass to the local YMCA if you want to work out.

The parking lot entrance is difficult to spot after dark, though the motel is easy to find while driving otherwise. The price for a night was reasonable, the rooms were quiet and very clean, and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and made an effort to help. Need more coffee? You can get it at the front desk. If the room clock isn't working, call and they'll fix it or bring another one.

The staff are really helpful and even offered to set breakfast out early when they heard I had to leave for work in the morning. I've been here about two weeks, and it's worked well for an extended stay. I work around the area a lot, so this will be my new favorite. Nicest place I've stayed in the area, and the price is very competitive.

Jay at the Front Desk was attentive and a great help with our special needs. The cleaning staff were thorough and efficient. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely situated. Rock Island Inn & Suites suited us perfectly on our trip to Atlantic.

Our Airbnb cancelled at the last minute, right before our first family Christmas together in more than 10 years. Thank goodness for Rock Island! There were nine of us, and the staff were so kind and considerate about accommodating our group. They even let us have the Christmas family dinner we'd planned. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff went above and beyond. We'll definitely be back!
