Best Western Atoka Inn & Suites

We paid a little over $140 with the taxes and charges, so I expected a lot better. There was a cockroach in the room as soon as we walked in, the sheets and curtains were dirty, and the shower sprayed water everywhere. The AC had such a musty, moldy smell that it kept waking me up whenever it kicked on. Those great reviews gave me the wrong impression. A really disappointing stay for the price.

The free breakfast buffet was a nice value, and the staff paid attention to us. I was here for a work project. Google Maps directs you to the Comfort Inn. As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum elite member, I usually stay at Marriott properties, so I had a fairly clear idea of what to expect. This place matched those expectations for what it is.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was nice. Staff were warm and friendly, too. I’ve stayed here a few times over the past several years and have always been happy, but this latest visit was the best yet. It’s no Ritz Carlton, but it works very well if you want somewhere clean, quiet, and comfortable. I highly recommend it.

I slept well here, and it’s great to have a place where I can bring my dogs. This is the second time I’ve stayed, and it’s become our pick whenever we need to make a long drive. Between my visits, it seems there was new management, and the changes have been good. The old carpet is gone, replaced by laminate flooring that feels less musty, and the back parking lot and grounds have been cleaned up and made nicer. It’s a good option for the location, even though it isn’t a four-star or luxury hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly.
