Comfort Inn & Suites Atoka-Millington

My husband, our two toddlers, and I got trapped in the elevator after it dropped about two feet and stopped. We pressed the help button, but nothing happened. My husband called 911 while I phoned the front desk. They showed no concern and sent no help. The police and fire department got us out, and the firefighters mentioned this had happened a week earlier. Another guest said, “oh honey, you just have to keep hitting the buttons, sorry they didn’t tell you that at the front desk,” so it sounds like this was an ongoing issue we hadn’t been told about. My husband asked to speak with management, but they refused. When we got to our room, it was filthy, smelled of animal pee and alcohol, and had dirt all over the bed. We’ll never stay here again. Unless serious changes are made and the elevator is properly fixed, they shouldn’t be open.

Our first room smelled like a cigar bar, but Cece sorted it out and moved us. They also took the room with the bad smell out of rotation. Cece did an EXCELLENT job looking after us while we were in the area visiting family. #GreatJob

I was on a work trip and gave them both a company card and my personal card, but they put the entire stay on my personal credit card. Then they checked me out incorrectly, leaving the receipt I need to submit to my company one day short. That means I’ll be out that money too. Corporate won’t fix it, and I understand people need days off, but saying the manager “not being in” doesn’t resolve a mistake involving over 400 dollars in charges.

We stayed eight nights and had no complaints. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was good, and the service was top notch. Every staff member was excellent, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend it.
