I’ve been renting rooms at Thunderbird Lodge for a couple of years, and I’ve never had a problem with a room, another guest, or anyone on the property. The rooms are always tidy, everything works, and the water is hot. Miss Rae and Mr Yogesh are genuinely good people who go out of their way to accommodate every guest. Their rates are reasonable, and I’m grateful for their hospitality and decency. If you’re passing through Atoka Oklahoma and need a place to rest, stop at Thunderbird Lodge. You won’t be disappointed.

For an affordable rate, you get a lot here: spacious rooms with big beds, a closet area, table and chairs, bedside tables, fridge, microwave, TV and wi-fi. There’s parking and privacy, plus a convenient location. You can choose smoking or non-smoking, and the rooms have tile and carpet. The shower is warm, the AC is cold, and the heaters get hot.

I stayed here while I was looking for a home, and found it clean and comfortable with great service. The prices are the best, and the spot right off the highway makes it easy to get to the stores in downtown Atoka. I highly recommend it 🥰

My husband and I have stayed here twice, for months at a time rather than just overnight. There are only two family-owned and operated motels in the area, and we’ve tried both. Thunderbird Motel is cleaner and nicer, with bigger rooms and more affordable rates. The owners are friendly and the customer service is outstanding. I’d recommend staying at the thunderbird for any occasion.

For $60 cash right off the highway, it was what it was. The room was really hot when we got in, but the AC worked amazingly well. The place seemed sketchy at first, though it actually wasn’t. The lady was nice after I complimented the plants in the lobby.
