We did get free pizza while waiting, and the staff were kind. But after arriving at 9 p.m. with an advance online booking, we were told staffing problems meant our room needed more time. They said about 20 minutes. At 11 p.m., we and several other families were still waiting in the lobby with our luggage, more than two hours later. They couldn't provide the basic service we'd paid for, and the only offer was a 10% discount for people whose rooms came late. The lobby looked clean, new, and nice, though I can't speak for the rest of the facilities. I wouldn't recommend booking here. Paying more for a hotel that can provide a room is better. I hope management gets expectations clearer with staff and future guests, or I don't see IHG continuing with the current leadership.

Our wedding party had reserved and prepaid for our room, but when we arrived they said it had been given away and the hotel was full because of an Auburn basketball game. They sent us across the street, saying they could transfer the reservation. At that hotel, we were told a transfer wasn't possible and they didn't know why we'd been told that. Even paying in advance didn't guarantee we'd have a room. I can't recommend booking here, and hope a manager sees this and runs things more honorably.

Reviews suggest they overbook, and my experience makes that hard to dismiss. I booked a nonrefundable room with two queen beds, which should have secured it, but they had none available. If they can't be relied on to honor a booking, especially one that can't be refunded, the lower price isn't worth the risk. IHG needs to look into how this place is being run.

Precious, the Front Desk Manager, was pleasant and positive, and did everything she could to help. The problem seemed beyond her control. My room had no hot water the whole time, so every shower was freezing, and repeated reports never got it fixed. I usually choose IHG because I expect reliable service and standards. This stay fell far short, and a hotel without dependable hot water needs prompt attention.

We booked months ahead, but when we arrived at 8 p.m. they were short staffed and still cleaning rooms. My children and I waited until 10 for one to be ready. They didn't offer a discount or even a partial refund. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
