The bed was comfortable, and I slept well during the day despite working third shift because it was quiet. They found me a room on short notice, which I really appreciated. It was clean and had updated vinyl wood flooring. I'd stay again.

The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were very flat and the furniture was badly worn. At first the room looked clean, though checking more closely after hearing other guests mention bugs, I found it pretty dirty. I didn't see any bugs. The room smelled stale, and I couldn't open the ground-level window to air it out because there was no screen. It wouldn't latch either, so I couldn't lock it, which felt scary with people hanging around outside when I checked in. There are obviously people living there. The halls smelled like weed and dirty bodies. This was my last resort, so I hadn't expected much to begin with.

A good, low-cost place to sleep. My wife and I checked out on 1/13/26, so this is an updated review. Breakfast isn't being served, but the lower room cost helps make up for that. The staff were polite, though they seemed too busy to talk much. Luckily, the manager was around and took care of any issues that came up.

Cozy, clean, and friendly. The Econo Lodge is near the freeway, Dollar General, an Ace Hardware, several gas stations, and a Walmart within 10 miles. The owners seem to work at keeping up the property and maintaining a clean, decent appearance. Staff were friendly and fairly knowledgeable. I found the prices high, though I think that's generally the economy and not just this Econo Lodge. They offered to extend my stay for two more nights at a rate matching or beating another hotel I'd asked about, and I appreciated that. The place is pet friendly, with a fair rate, and designated weekly rooms at a reduced rate, including a lower pet fee if needed. From my experience as a hotelier in Texas, the rooms felt a bit small. There are two barbecue grills guests can use for free. They just expect people to clean up and respect others, without a lot of strict rules. The pool is currently closed for maintenance and training purposes. They have hot coffee and hot water for tea, but no continental or complimentary breakfast. If you're looking for a bargain motel, it probably deserves four or five stars. I gave it three because it's an older establishment and doesn't serve breakfast.

That mattress was the worst I've ever slept on. There was no support at all, and when I lay down it felt like the bed swallowed me. If you don't have back problems, try spending one night on it and you might be seeing a chiropractor the next day. The comforter looked like something from the 70s, and the hotel is severely outdated. I've been a Choice Hotels member since 2008, and this was worse than any hotel I've ever stayed at, even the one in southern Georgia. Choice Hotels should be ashamed to have it in their line. I wasted my points here. The owner should sell to someone who cares. If this person were a landlord, he'd be called a slumlord. The rooms should be offered to homeless people instead, and the owner could take the tax credit. That's enough of me speaking my mind. Don't stay here, even if it's free.
