Holiday Inn Express & Suites Auburn Downtown by IHG

Maria M. kept my room clean during this stay, and breakfast was good as always in a clean dining area. Thanks to her and the rest of the team at Auburn Downtown Holiday Inn Express & Suites. I also want to mention Alana Mone at the front desk. I arrived late on a Friday, and they couldn't find my reservation in the system. I've had that turn into a nightmare at other hotels, but she stayed friendly and reassuring. There were people waiting behind me, so I asked her to help them first. She handled the line quickly, then worked with me to sort things out. We still couldn't find the booking, so she added me. It was a business trip, so I wasn't paying, but she took care of me.

I liked the outdoor patio, especially the tables, chairs, and gas grill. I used it with my coworker. The place was clean, with a pool and weight room, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. My room and bathroom were nice, and the view of Mt Ranier was great, apart from the electric pole, lol. There's also a comfortable lounging area and a good breakfast. I'll stay here whenever I'm in town.

I forgot some personal supplies back home in Florida, and Alana kindly helped me out with shaving cream and razors. She was so sweet and made a real impression on me. From the moment I arrived, she was welcoming, attentive, and professional. She handled everything patiently and with a positive attitude. You can tell she works hard and cares about guests. Kudos to Alana.

The train yard across the street can be noisy, though they do a good job limiting the sound. The front desk will move you or provide earplugs if you need them. The property is clean, staff are friendly and helpful, and there's an indoor pool and workout room. Breakfast runs from 5:30 to 9 on weekdays. It's also close to the outlet mall, plenty of restaurants, and delivery options. Wi-Fi, though, is weak and slow.
