Budgetel Inn & Suites

The staff at Budgetel Inn on Gordon Highway were friendly, attentive, and ready to help whenever I needed something. My room was spacious, clean, and more comfortable than I expected for such a budget-friendly rate. I left very satisfied with the service and value. I’d recommend it to anyone staying in Augusta who wants a good deal.

I paid $87 for the room, and basic things came with extra charges. There was only one key for two people, and a second one would cost $2. Extra towels were $10, while another blanket was $20. I ended up buying bedding and towels myself rather than keep paying for things I’d consider standard in a hotel. The blanket on the bed was very thin, with just a sheet underneath and no duvet. The TV remote was busted, and the outlets were covered. I only found out they didn’t work when I tried them. They advertise continental breakfast, but there wasn’t any out. When I asked, a different attendant snapped at me. The first attendant was rude too.

There’s a Waffle House, convenience store, and gas station right beside Budgetel Inn, all open 24/7. Augusta Mall, Walmart, and lots of restaurants are only a few minutes away by car. There’s also plenty of free parking and an in-house laundry, which is handy for a longer trip. The property is quiet, clean, and feels safe, with spacious rooms and even a jacuzzi hot tub. Management were courteous, professional, and helpful. For an affordable stay near Fort Gordon, I found this the best budget motel in the area. It works for a quick visit or a longer stay, and I’d recommend it.

Shopping and places to eat are easy to find within five miles, often closer, and there are vending, ice, and laundry facilities on site. My room was clean and excellent, and the staff were kind and thorough. I enjoyed the stay and had a great experience all around.
