Comfort Suites Augusta

The staff made a difficult family visit much easier, and I’m deeply grateful for how kind and understanding they were. Crystal at the front desk booked us into a spotless, lovely-smelling room. Sandy, the evening desk clerk, asked if she could pray for us. We needed that and were glad she asked. Jeff helped me get Netflix and Disney back online on the ROKU, which mattered because the babies love animated movies as a way to settle down. Thank you all for welcoming us and going beyond your usual routine. Past hotel stays for appointments and other reasons have been nowhere near as kind. I live in Augusta,Ga., just down the road, and want to give Comfort Inn five stars, especially for these staff members. My daughter was in town having the twins, my grandkids, and we don’t yet know whether they may be autistic. Her son karter is already diagnosed and is severely on the spectrum, and his stimming episodes can make him a handful. We’re waiting for results for the twins and praying for the best. There may be three diagnosed children, possibly four, but we don’t know yet. With seven of us, five kids and two adults, in one room for around 4-5 days, emotions and patience were stretched. The staff understood the special needs and helped us through it.

I still haven’t received my security deposit, and no one has contacted me. When I called to ask about it, Sandra Floyd was extremely rude and screamed at me. I asked to speak with someone else because management wasn’t showing proper respect or customer service. When I asked for the corporate number, she yelled and said there was no corporate office. The room was old-looking, even though they’d clearly tried to renovate it. The housekeepers, though, had great customer service. Management was horrible. Do not stay here.

It’s handy for a quick in-and-out stay, though you’ll need to drive to reach restaurants or shops. I had a king room by the pool that was decent and laid out well for getting work done. The highway is close. Ask for a room away from the ice machine and exit door, since they can be loud.

I’ve been broken down for two weeks, and staying here has been the only pleasant part of the experience. The rooms are well kept, and the staff have made this time a little easier. Cindy does a great job changing up the free breakfast. Sandy, Jeff, Crystal, Wayne, Barbara, and everyone else whose names I didn’t learn have all been awesome. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone in the area who needs a room.
