Fairfield by Marriott Inn and Suites Augusta Fort Eisenhower Area

Management still hasn’t responded as promised, and I’m now having to dispute an overcharge. I booked through the Marriott Bonvoy app, but the construction wasn’t mentioned there, and nobody at the desk told us when we checked in. If I’d known, my sister and I would have stayed somewhere else. Early the next morning, hammering and drilling were extremely loud. The short Caucasian man at the desk, who I believe was the manager, kept saying the information was on the website. I couldn’t get him to understand that I hadn’t booked that way. I’m a platinum elite member and my sister and I are both Marriott members. I only stay at Marriott, so I know what to expect, and this hotel failed miserably. The worst hotel experience. I wish I could give it zero stars. Please don’t stay here.

The lobby is a mess and the hallways are dirty while renovations are underway. Even so, this is still my go to in Agusta. The employees are always helpful, and the new rooms are excellent. Get past the construction mess and it’s worth staying here.

The night staff were attentive, and someone followed up with me the next morning before I left. The hotel is being renovated, and there was a problem with my first room, but they sorted it out right away by moving me to another one. Really great customer service.

We were here for a week for work and regret choosing this hotel. The water was shut off because of construction, with no warning until we found a note by the vending machine. The rooms were awful, with cigarette and mildew smells and stains on the floor and furniture. Even after I asked for cleaning, they said, “its already been clean,” and made me feel bad for raising the issues. The management is horrible, and the problem is obvious. I highly recommend staying anywhere else.
