The rooms were spotless, the staff professional and respectful, and the manager sorted out an overcharge right away. We were traveling from another state and had a great stay, so I’d recommend the hotel. The water was cold when we showered and the internet kept cutting out, though. I heard today they’re planning to fix the water heater, so hopefully the water issue won’t keep happening.

The hot water in the shower kept coming and going, and although the water drained, it was a pretty bad experience. I also woke up to several roaches in the room, which disgusted me. I went to tell the desk, but a girls basketball coach was already describing unsanitary problems some of his players had faced. The night desk guy, who was otherwise amazing and knowledgeable, brushed him off. I could see roach spray from where I was standing, which made me think they knew about the roaches. I went straight back to shower, shake off, and gather my things. Based on the reviews, I’d expected much better. I might have given the place five stars for that helpful night clerk if I hadn’t seen the roaches.

Housekeeping was attentive, and the place was quiet, clean, safe, and very affordable. Breakfast was basic, which worked for me. I normally choose higher-end hotels but was impressed by the price, location, and cleanliness. The one thing that looked awful was the rug inside the front door, which had been pieced together with duct tape.

I was staying because my father had to be airlifted to a hospital in Augusta, and needed cheap lodging. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have chosen this place. I found bed bugs and showed them at the front desk, but got no refund or even an apology. The manager said there was nothing they could do, then suggested I might have brought them in. The facility is filthy, and the housekeeping and maintenance are poor. The manager should take responsibility.
