I’ve started choosing B&Bs and guest houses over chain hotels, since the prices are comparable and some are great finds. This is one of them. The rooms are beautiful and parking is great. There’s a tavern style bar beneath the building instead of a generic hotel bar, with an excellent selection of craft beers and liquor. They have music most nights, and the music when I was there was fantastic. Melinda, the owner, and her bartender Candace are the only two employees. They make a great team and are really friendly to chat with. Now I need to find more reasons to visit Augusta so I can stay here again and again!

I went for open mic night and had a few drinks. My bill was 125$, but the next day they charged my card another 130$. Pay in cash if you go, because this place is a scam.

We stayed here for a concert at the Bell auditorium, and it worked out perfectly. Check-in was easy, the rooms were wonderful, and the inn had a fabulous atmosphere. The Fox's Lair was awesome, with live music, great drinks, and excellent prices. We had a blast. We walked to the auditorium, enjoyed a great concert, then walked back to the layer for more live music and headed straight upstairs to bed. Couldn’t have been more perfect.

I didn’t stay overnight, but I checked out their lounge. It’s a cozy spot with live music, friendly people, and a bartender who makes great drinks. Definitely worth checking out, a great little find.

We stayed at the Olde Town Inn the last weekend of March 2025, and it was a horrible experience. The neighborhood felt a bit sketchy, and construction blocking many sidewalks and crosswalks made it far from walkable. The owners’ hair studio on the first floor and the bar in the basement are both open to the public, which made our room feel less secure. The furnishings were outdated and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. We also discovered Friday evening, after dinner, that the door lock only secured sometimes. We thought we could put up with all that until the party in the rooms next door kept going from Friday night into Saturday morning, still raging at 4:30 AM. We gave up, messaged the owner about the untenable situation, and checked out. Later Saturday morning the owner wrote that she had watched the cameras, saw us leave, saw the party, and that the party guests checked out not long after us. We requested refunds for both the horrible night we stayed and the second night we paid for but couldn’t or wouldn’t stay. The owner confirmed the problems, but we got no refund. Fellow consumers, stay here at your own risk. We learned the hard way.
