The staff have been great so far. The morning woman has been amazing, the night guy is helpful, and housekeeping checks that we have towels and sheets and takes care of cleaning on their daily rounds. It’s quiet at night, and Dragon Express across the parking lot stays busy and smells great, though I haven’t tried it yet. I’m going to give this location another chance. I’ve booked a king Suite for after the four nights I have left, and I hope it matches the pictures. If it works out, I may stay here for 2-3 months. I’m considering asking the front desk whether I can move into that suite now, since I would have booked one from the beginning if I’d known what this room was like. I’m currently staying here and feel misled by the room I got. I booked a king room because the pictures on the hotel site, priceline, and booking showed a king bed and a small sofa seating area. The king Suite photos looked clearly different. Instead, my room is tiny and doesn’t resemble what I believed I was booking. Had I seen this room in the pictures, I wouldn’t have taken the chance; I’d have stayed at my previous hotel or booked the king Suite. Since the reservation was non-refundable, I couldn’t get my money back after seeing the room. It’ll be a long four remaining nights. The pictures are of what the websites and apps show for a king room, plus one of the actual little room.

The breakfast was the usual spread: waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, a few kinds of muffins, wheat bread, and cereal. The gym was frustrating, since it was locked from 7pm-7am and my room key couldn’t get me in. My window looked onto a highway, but watching the sunrise was relaxing. The front desk guy was about average in friendliness compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at. My single-bed room was small but fine for the price, and the newer management seems pretty good. It’s much nicer than the reviews from 2024 suggested. I wish they offered early check-in and late checkout by the hour, since I work night shifts.

Darling, hold my hand! This hotel is the full Jet 2 holiday experience. Want grocery-store feet? Go barefoot, because socks won’t save you. Fancy a shower? Forget it, there are pubes in the tub. Surfaces haven’t been cleaned, so who knows what you might pick up there. And the air smells musty, like weed and smoke. On the plus side, we didn’t see any bed bugs. Enjoy yoir holiday stay!

I had my son lock our belongings in the suitcases, and we kept food in the fridge. After the roaches and filthy surfaces, I wasn’t taking chances. The room had dead roaches in its corners, a live one on a pillow, and another on the bathroom ceiling. Food splatter was stuck to the desk leg, the chair was sticky, and mold ran along the baseboards. The pine oil smell seemed to cover up something. A connecting door had a broken inside lock, the bathroom handle was broken so the door wouldn’t close properly, and I warned my son not to shut it all the way in case one of us got stuck. The shower later stopped working, with very low pressure; tightening its loose shower head by hand didn’t help. Its curtain rod also felt unsafe and unsteady. My son and I came to town Tuesday for a trip to Augusta National. The location was handy, check-in was easy, and the facility and room smelled pleasantly of recent cleaning at first. On Wednesday morning we saw another live roach. I threw away the Swedish fish on the dresser. We made good memories at Augusta, but the room’s condition made me question the hotel’s cleanliness standards. I checked out earlier than necessary and would rather have waited at the airport than stay there longer. I’m looking forward to going home so I can empty and disinfect everything and make sure no stowaways are in my luggage.

They refused to cancel the reservation through BOOKING.COM, and made me feel unsafe about staying there. The problem started when the counter staff tried to charge me twice for a booking I’d already made online. When I challenged it, they got combative and threatening. Avoid this place. It feels like a scam hiding behind third-party booking fees.
