Hyatt Place Denver Airport

The room was clean, the staff were cordial and professional, and we had a beautiful view after a long travel day. We stayed one night at the Hyatt before our flight, and it did the job. Breakfast was the weak point. The area wasn’t consistently clean even though there seemed to be plenty of staff. Drinks were limited to orange juice, milk, and apple juice; I’d usually expect cranberry juice and more soda choices. Most of the food wasn’t very tasty, though the cinnamon raisin bread was excellent. Since there’s no laundry at the hotel, we were able to use the facilities at the Cambria Hotel next door. The stay itself was fine, but I’d probably skip breakfast here next time.

I want to start by thanking ADAM. I didn’t catch his last name, but he was phenomenal, professional, knowledgeable, and so hospitable. I’m really grateful for him. AJUNAE, who works the second shift, also went out of her way for my husband and me. The air conditioner wasn’t working, and we agreed to the room anyway. I’m not complaining about that, just explaining how kind she was to look for a fan for us because we would’ve baked in there. The only issue for me was breakfast. The guy seemed like he really didn’t want to put it out early at 6 o’clock, even though people were lined up and heading to work. It was a small thing, and it’s only our first day, so hopefully day two goes as well as day one. I’m sure there are other kind, good-hearted staff too, but these two really stood out. The room was at least somewhat clean, but the whole place smelled like cigarettes. The front desk guy was asleep under a blanket with his head on the desk, and the coffee had been sitting out so long it was cold. Spend the extra $15 and stay next door.

At checkout I found they’d charged me twice for the same night. They promised to fix it, but ten days later they still hadn’t. Earlier, it took three attempts just to get the room type right. The desk staff seemed not to know or have access to which rooms had king beds and which had twins, so we made three trips up and down the elevator with our luggage and new keys. Between about 5 and 8 am, the shower would randomly lose pressure until it was barely a trickle, which isn’t helpful when you’re trying to leave. A huge hassle for a lower-quality Hyatt Place. I won’t stay here again.
