Atwell Suites Austin Airport by IHG

We’ve stayed at places nearby that we liked more, but there’s not much to complain about here. The rooms were spacious and clean, and mostly quiet. Staff were courteous and helpful. The free lobby coffee was surprisingly good, and we’d definitely come back.

After a terrible experience at the airport, we arrived here at midnight with an airline voucher. Ray was working and did his best to help us when we really needed it. He shared some breakfast fruit and granola bar snacks, and was very kind while we were down and out. The room was basic and small, as expected, but clean and pretty nice. We showered, went to bed, and were back on the airport shuttle within five or six hours.

The hotel is very clean, and the front is nicely lit. The back felt dark and creepy, with homeless people wandering around, so I was glad there was plenty of parking and I could leave my car out front. The room could use more towels. Staff were nice. Breakfast was disappointing: several dishes and pieces of silverware were dirty, and the food didn’t seem cooked through and wasn’t very good. They offer free coffee, green tea, and black tea, but hot chocolate would’ve been nice. The stay also felt a little overpriced, so I’d probably try a Holiday Inn Express next time. One bright spot: this is one of the few IHG hotels that has acknowledged my status and actually given me a welcome amenity. Yay.

We’re still in the middle of our weekend trip, but Atwell Suites has been very accommodating. Everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping, has been phenomenal. Chase has gone above and beyond as a host, helping us each night with a genuine smile. Ivan has helped make our weekend adventure here enjoyable too. Thanks to the whole team for being here. I highly recommend this place for business or pleasure. Skipping a stay here would mean missing out on a good time in Austin. Jj & Shelley H.
