Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Austin Parmer/Tech Ridge

We’ve made this our regular place to stay during Austin visits to my wife’s family over the past several years. It’s affordable enough that I don’t see the value in booking an Airbnb or somewhere else. I book through the United Airlines hotel site or Chase travel for the points, and the reservations and check-in have always gone smoothly. The people here are a big reason we keep coming back. Everyone has been accommodating and wonderful, and many of the same workers have been here since our first visits. To me, that’s a healthy sign that they like working here. When we’ve had a cleanliness issue, staff have dealt with it right away, either by fixing it or moving us to another room. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is a solid 6/10, handy for saving money in the morning with my wife and two small kids. I also like the coffee. Walmart, HEB, In-And-Out burger, Goodwill, and other shops are only a 2-5 minute drive away, and it’s right by 35 for easy access into Austin. Thanks to the Fairfield Marriott team for taking such good care of the place. We choose to stay here every time.

Pretty okay stay. This cozy little hideaway works for me, and I liked seeing my name on the TV. I wish the TV and my phone could control everything, though. The link showed up on screen and worked, but the app or the connection to the room wasn’t set up right. I’ll be back soon. 👍🏾👌🏾

The breakfast really stood out, with lots of choices and good quality. Those egg things were great and made the meal for me. The beds were comfy, the rooms clean, and the place was nice overall. I also checked out the indoor pool area and didn’t notice a strong chlorine smell, though I didn’t swim. The gym was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. Great deal.

The Wi-Fi was super fast, faster than any hotel I’ve stayed in, though maybe low occupancy helped. Staff were kind and helpful, and the amenities were nice. Breakfast had everything I needed. The gym treadmill and elliptical look brand new, but it could use heavier weights. I think that’s pretty standard for hotel gyms.
